CZ social web for club bands

In my post on social media, I would like to introduce the web Bandzone to you. It is a social medium designated for music which probably all the Czech club bands use to get in touch with fans easily.

Bandzone was created in 2004 to offer young bands opportunity to present their music in the internet with minimum effort. From databasis of bands Bandzone has grown into an important Czech social site of music fans. On 26^th January 2011 there were 26 554 registered music groups, 129 801 fans and 144 097 mp3s.

You don’t even have to be registred to listen to (and download) all the uploaded music, write comments on bands or follow their events. You can also look for held concerts in any region of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It is possible to find the band after its name, genre or region.

As a registered fan you can add a band to the list of your favourities and achieve its music easily. Moreover, you can start your blog on Bandzone.

A registered band can upload mp3s, videos, pictures, add concert dates and write news. Musicians can introduce themselves on the „Info“ page, fill in contact information and administer the comments of fans.

To be honest, design of this site isn’t striking and you could detect a lack of dynamics in it, but more important would be that Bandzone’s idea works very well.
